Thank you, Barb. I'm so sorry for the delayed response - my husband and I have been slightly preoccupied with our purchase of a new home.
Given that you are, yourself, a real estate agent, and the contract for said home was signed on the same day of your posting, I'll accept that as a good omen. ;)

Hopefully, by now, you've read "Shadow Waltz" and have enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. "Ghost of a Chance" was a heartfelt endeavor as I felt it necessary
to tie up the romantic loose ends, for fear that they might cause the series to lose the 1930's "screwball" feel I was trying to achieve. The result was a somewhat darker book than "Million Dollar Baby" but still one of which I'm proud.

"Shadow Waltz" and the forthcoming "Black Moonlight" (June 2010), however, reignite the comedic spark of the first book.

Thank you again for including me in a sentence referring, even indirectly, to Julia Child. In case you hadn't noticed from my other blog posts, I have a penchant for cooking.:) Julia elevated a loathesome daily chore to an art form - and an approachable one at that!

Keep reading, START writing, and please do keep in touch. In appreciation of your support and encouragement...Amy

Hi Amy - There are a couple of things that prompted me to write. Number 1, I just finished reading your first book 'Million Dollar Baby' and started on the second - 'Ghost of a Chance' with 3rd one waiting for me. I wanted to tell you that your writing is getting better and better. That is meant as a compliment from a voracious reader (50 years of reading mysteries). Since the advent of the internet and email, I have begun to write to authors that I have read and enjoyed. We all need encouragment in our endeavors and I am probably a "wanna be" author myself. The second reason I am responding to your blog is - I just watched the movie 'Julie and Julia' and my heart went out to Julie's blog attempt. So this is my way of supporting you and encouraging you. I will watch for your books in future. Keep up the good work and you will find yourself up there with some of the other GREATS.
