It’s 1935—mystery writer Marjorie McClelland and her new husband, millionaire Creighton Ashcroft, have sailed to a secluded island near Bermuda for a romantic getaway. Instead they find the Ashcroft vacation home filled—to Creighton’s horror—with his family. The honeymoon is most definitely over when one of the group is found murdered. Can Marjorie untangle the multiple motives and family turmoil to find the killer among them?
With great aplomb, Marjorie ferrets out the truth in a traditional whodunit that boasts nary a dull moment.

Meade creates an intriguing and sympathetic cast of characters in her latest work. The dialogue and plot are rather ordinary, but the romance between the leading couple is sweet and believable, and the 1930s setting makes for interesting context.
